Wikia, if you are not aware offers a free wiki for people i suppose. A wiki is an online information storage or more of a library to share with others. However, Wikia search introduces us a new way of searching. Wikia offers us a “user powered” search I could say. Here is a sneak peek of the site:

What does Wikia offer that Google and Yahoo doesn’t? The two latter companies use bots or spiders to crawl the internet and gather data from webpages. This method allows websites to be included to their search engines and be known to the World Wide Web. How about doing this with human intervention?

Wikia
lets you add your own website to their directory on the fly. You could add comments and even rate other sites. You could also start a vote for deletion of a specific site. There are a lot of things you could add: Annotations, Spotlight, Suggestions.

Wikia is a user driven search engine for users. It is a large website directory, where its contents are made by users. It adopts the Wikipedia style, but now a search engine that indexes websites.

If you have not visited it yet, what are you waiting for? Add your website and start flagging those unnecessary webpages.
